Schalke 04 whizkid, Bernard Tekpetey's sterling performance in the Black Stars friendly against Uzbek side Bunyodkor according to sources has given Coach Avram Grant and the technical handlers a headache on the second striker to play alongside skipper Asamoah Gyan.

The former Unistar Academy player who lasted 79 minutes was handed a start before being making way for Ebenezer Assifuah.

Tekpetey made a huge impact in his first outing for the Black Stars and was instrumental in the Ghana's goals in the 2-0 win.

The youngster's cross was netted by Captain Asamoah who climbed off the bench to give the Black Stars the opening goal before his excellent effort at goal hit the woodwork for substitute Frank Acheampong to finish off for the second goal.

The new striker looked more purposive and eager for success with the stars in the game.

19-year-old Tekpetey was a shock inclusion in coach Avram Grant's final 23-man squad for the tournament.

Tekpetey led the attack for Schalke O4 Europa league match between Nice before his call up.

He is tipped by former Germany and Schalke O4 Star, Gerard Asamoah to succeed.
