Ghana and Schalke o4 defender Baba Rahman produced an impressive performance on his debut at the Veltins Arena as Schalke O4 beat Athletic Bilbao 3-2 to round up their pre-season preparations.
The on-loan Chelsea defender started the game on the bench but came on at the start of the second half for Sasha Riether in what was a good game for the left back.
Rahman looked very confident on his return to German football and thrilled the 42,000 fans who turned up at the Arena to see their stars play ahead of the Bundesliga season.
Goals from Naldo, Klaas-Jan Huntelaar and Johannes Geis for Schalke meant the two from Mikel San Jose and Aritz Aduriz were not enough to spoil the party for the German side.
Rahman will be delighted with his contribution on the day and will be hoping that he is able to build on his strong start to life in Germany.
The Royal Blues return to competitive action next Saturday vs. FC 08 Villingen in the DFB Cup (15:30 CEST).
