Visco Walking Club of Ghana has been invited to participate in the 2nd Penang International 12 hour Walk slated to be held in Esplanade, Georgetown-Malaysia on the 15th and 16th January 2005.
This remains the second time the Walking Club has been invited to participate in a competition of such caliber in Malaysia, which is traditionally emerging as a strong walking country.
Persatuan Athlit Veteran Pulau Pinang the organizers, have announced a string of packages that should go to the first six winners to emerge in the competition, which will see competitors compete in the MEN'S OPEN reserved for walkers between the ages of 18 and 39, MEN'S SENIOR VETERAN also reserved for walkers within the age bracket of 50 and above, as well as the WOMEN'S JUNIOR VETERAN also reserved for ages between 35 and 49.
Consequently, the Club has sent an open invitation to all its members and the general public who may be interested, to show up for an up-coming series of competitions to select the final team to represent the country at the competition.
