Former Starlets player form football club

Techiman (B/A), Oct. 7 GNA - Mr. Suraj Musah, former player of the national Under 16 team, the Black Starlets has formed a new Second Division football club, Roven Rovers at Techiman in the Brong-Ahafo Region.

Mr. Anass Seidu, one-time regular player of Accra Hearts of Oak and also of the defunct Techiman Eleven Wonders is the chairman of the new club.

Anass Seidu who is now domicile in Singapore announced the formation of the club to the GNA Sports at the club's local training ground at the Techiman Zongo Local Authority School Park on Wednesday. He said the idea of forming the club was aimed at unearthing sporting talents in the Techiman Municipality.

He said players of the club would be highly motivated to encourage them to deliver the goods and also enable them qualify eventually to play in the Premier division.

Mr. Musah, the founder of the club appealed to Techiman citizens resident outside the municipality to give out their best to back the new club to achieve its aim and aspirations.

He assured the playing body of transparency and discipline in the administration of the club so as to gain confidence of the supporters.
