The Chairman of the Bid Committee wished the contingent well in their training and hoped that they would bring glory to Ghana. Dr Amoah said he was personally donating the amount to encourage and motivate the contingent and the GOC to adequately prepare towards the global games and wished them well.

Mr B.T. Baba, President of the Ghana Olympic Committee who received the cheque thanked Dr Amoah for his donation describing it as a show of patriotism not only for his personal role in the 2008 Bid but for other sporting events.
