Ghanaian-born former France international Marcel Desailly has confirmed to Goal.com he is pulling out of the Black Stars job because 'I can't wait no more.'

Speaking to Goal.com on phone ahead of a press conference to announce his decision at his East Legon office in Ghana's capital Accra, the 1998 World Cup winner said having applied for the job for the past three months without any communication from the FA until this Monday to inform him he has been shortlisted does not go well with him.

'I have put my life and professional career all waiting [for three months] and I just received a letter from the FA informing me that I have been shortlisted. What would you do if you were in my shoes?' the 42-year-old queried.

The former Chelsea defender was one of five shortlisted coaches for the Black Stars job. Others are local coach Herbert Addo, Humberto Coelho, and Goran Stevanovic who would be interviewed in the next fortnight.
