Ghana's Black Stars return to home soil to battle their Beninois counterparts in their last round World/Africa Cup qualifier at the Baba Yara Stadium this Sunday.

The chunk of the foreign-based players is expected home today, without the regular striker Manuel Junior Agogo, whose position is likely to be taken by Asamoah Gyan or Prince Tagoe.

The return of ace midfielder Michael Essien has raised moral among fans and the playing body alike, ahead of the Stars-Squirrels crunch tie.

The Beninois team, besides the points at stake, appear to come in for a revenge, taking into account their 2-4 defeat suffered at the hands of the Stars in the Zenith four-nation tournament at the Ohene Djan Stadium preceding the CAN 2008 tournament.

But the Stars seem guided by the 2-0 lead that the Beninois handed them in the Zenith competition to begin the last phase of the qualifier on a sound footing. Ghana is grouped alongside Sudan, Mali and Benin.
