Afful Returns To Kotoko

Harrison Afful Reports monitored by DAILY GUIDE SPORTS indicate that Gomoa Fetteh Feynord have finally agreed to let their enterprising left full back, Harrison Afful, return to his former club, Kumasi Asante Kotoko.

Afful who was loaned to Kotoko, was an integral member of the Porcupine Warriors that conquered Ghana last season but the player returned to Feynord when Kotoko failed to give him a permanent contract after the season.

The national star is joining Kotoko on loan again and would feature for the Porcupine Warriors for the rest of the current season.

A source who divulged this to DAILY GUIDE SPORTS speculated that around US$20,000 is expected to change hands between the two parties.

It was gathered that both Kotoko and Feynord officials have verbally agreed to negotiate for a permanent deal for Afful to stay at the Kumasi-based club at the end of the current season.

In a related development, Feynord have agreed verbally to negotiate for the release of Michael Akuffo to Kotoko if the player, who is currently on trials in Norway, failed to get a club.

DAILY GUIDE SPORTS learnt that league leaders Accra Hearts of Oak are lurking around and might overtake Kotoko for the signature of Akuffo when he returns to the country.
