Attuquayefio Calls For Change In Stars' Tactics
26.02.2009 LISTEN

Cecil Jones Attuquayefio Sir Cecil Jones Attuquayefio, Technical Director of Liberty Professionals, has urged Coach Milovan Rajevac to vary his tactics to ensure a successful CHAN tournament for the Black Stars.

The celebrated coach, who was named African Coach of the Year 2000, also urged Coach Rajevac to play two players on top of attack, instead of the one man upfront.

He again challenged players to play according to the strategy of Rajevac, so as to deliver in today's game.

In Monday's match against the Zebra of Zimbabwe, Yaw Antwi was the sole striker for the Black Stars, a situation which made things difficult for the leading marksman of the team.

Skipper Edmund Owusu Ansah and midfielder Dan Yeboah also failed to shine especially in the first half, explaining that they could not cope with the Serbian's tactics.

Coach Attuquayefio, who was speaking on Asempa Sports yesterday, noted that coach Rajevac should map out a strategy that will suit his players on the field.

According to him, it will help the team to play cohesively in subsequent matches; something they failed to do against Zimbabwe.
