Muntari, Beckham clash in the Milan derby This picture tells it all. It was indeed a gritty, no-holds-barred Milan derby, but in the end, it was Inter that walked away with a 2-1 win.

Ghana and Inter Milan's Sulley Muntari wanted to show just how 'hungry' he was for the win, while David Beckham was determined to stand his ground.

"This league is strange, you can win one week and lose the next,” Beckham said.

The England midfielder had to come off early in the second half because of an injury to his right leg.

However, he was expected to take part in training yesterday and will travel to Werder Bremen tomorrow for Milan's Uefa Cup tie.

Sunday's defeat left AC Milan nine points behind Serie A leaders Inter.
