"I am very sorry that I am unable to play in the game in Cairo against the mighty Black Stars," Mido told Ghanasoccernet in the Egyptian capital.

"It is not an overly serious injury but I will need one week to fully recover and return to action.

"I am here to offer my support to the team and I am surre we will beat Ghana who are one of the best teams in Africa."

The game forms part of the preparation for both sides as they get ready for the start of the second phase of the 2010 World Cup qualifiers next month.
