One of the Board Chairmen of premiership newcomers, Berekum Chelsea, Tony Yeboah, has stated that his side was aiming to survive for this season. The former Black Stars and Eintract Frankfurt goal poacher gave the assurance that his side had what it takes to survive the elite division. Speaking to the press after his side's 3-2 win over current Top 4 Champions, Liberty Professionals at the Ohene Djan Stadium in Accra last Sunday, he said, “For now, we are concentrating on how to survive the terrain; the future looks bright for Chelsea.” Yeboah, beaming with smiles, pointed out he, together with the other management members, had put measures in place to avoid relegation. He revealed that “We are not going to allow complacency to take the better part of us, rather we will go the extra mile, so that we don't suffer the same fate that befall most debutants.” Chelsea FC played spiritedly to beat highly-rated Liberty Professionals 3-2 in their league opener last Sunday.
