LOC Launches Official Items

The official tournament wear of the MTN Africa Cup of Nations tournament will be launched under the auspices of the Local Organising Committee (LOC) by Ultimate Fashions, the official merchandise suppliers.

The launch which will involve a large range of polo shirts, T-shirts and baseball caps introduced onto the market both in Ghana and abroad as official garments of the January to February 2008 Championship, will take place at the Forecourt of the LOC Secretariat at 11:00 am of Friday November 30, 2007.

Ultimate Fashions, the popular Kumasi-based garments departmental store with subsidiaries in Accra, Takoradi and Tamale, expects to put on display for the launch 40 different styles and colour combinations of the fashionable sporting wear that has gained the admiration of sports lovers of all walks of life including the current crop of Ghanaian football stars.

Among the side attractions of the morning's event will be a special fashion show that will model several of the styles to be put on display, as well as the auctioning of 10 shirts that have already been autographed by some Black Stars players including the Captain Stephen Appiah, Michael Essien, John Mensah, Laryea Kingston, and Junior Agogo, as well as renowned ex-players that include Yaw Preko, Tony Baffoe, Opoku Afriyie, and others.

The Friday launch of the official tournament clothing will give interested distributors the opportunity to position themselves to promote the Ghana 2008 tournament.
