Ghana attacker Daniel-Kofi Kyereh put on a top performance for SC Freiburg on Thursday night as the team cruised past FC Nantes with a 2-0 win in the Uefa Europa League.
The talented attacker started for the German Bundesliga club in the third match of Group G of the European inter-club competition.
After a goalless stalemate at the end of the first half, SC Freiburg returned from the break to outplay the opponent.
Just three minutes into the second half, Black Stars forward Daniel-Kofi Kyereh opened the scoring for the home team with a good strike after he was assisted by Ritsu Doan.
That opening goal inspired a spirited performance from the German club as the side pushed to score more goals.
Eventually, the team netted a second in the 72nd minute through an equalizer from Vincenzo Grifo. He was assisted by Christian Günter.
In a game where Daniel-Kofi Kyereh lasted 82 minutes of the action, he bowed out as the second highest-rated player among the players that featured for SC Freiburg.
With his goal on Thursday night, Daniel-Kofi Kyereh now has a goal and assist after making three appearances for SC Freiburg in the Uefa Europa League this season.
Last Saturday, he scored his first Bundesliga game and is gradually becoming a fan favourite at SC Freiburg.
