Ghanaian giants, Asante Kotoko are currently top of the Ghana Premier League table after defeating Aduana Stars 2-0 on Saturday afternoon.
Nicknamed the Porcupine Warriors, the club from Kumasi was today in Dormaa where they played as guests to the matchday 11 opponent of 2021/2022 Ghanaian top-flight league.
In an exciting game played at the Nana Agyemang Badu Park, in-form striker George Mfegue opened the scoring for Asante Kotoko when he found the back of the net in the 15th minute.
Although Aduana Stars will attempt to get back into the game, the efforts of the team was not enough.
Late in the second half, Asante Kotoko score again through midfielder Richmond Lamptey to put the game to bed.
Having won 2-0 at end of the game to secure all three points, Asante Kotoko have climbed to the top of the Ghana Premier League table.
The Reds also have an outstanding game and remain one of the few favourites to win the Ghana Premier League at the end of the season.
