Just two days after committing an error in the MTN FA Cup semi-final against Hearts of Oak, Medeama SC goalkeeper Frank Boateng has seen his contract terminated.

The former Ashanti Gold SC goalie last year signed a three-year contract with the team in Tarkwa to provide a squad boost for the side ahead of the start of the 2020/2021 football season.

Starting in post for Medeama SC last Sunday, Frank Boateng did not have the best of days. He conceded three goals against a side that appeared too strong for his team.

While he cannot be blamed for two goals, he was at fault for Isaac Mensah’s equalizer when his error left his goal post at the mercy of the Hearts of Oak forward.

Today, Medeama SC have announced that they are partying ways with the goalkeeper.

“We have mutually parted ways with goalkeeper Frank Boateng.

“The club would like to thank Frank for his services and wish him well,” a statement on the Twitter page of Medeama SC announced on Tuesday afternoon.
