Ghanaian striker, Joel Fameyeh converted a penalty kick on Wednesday afternoon to help Orenburg defeat Torpedo Moscow 3-0 in the Russian lower-tier league.

The exciting attacker on the matchday earned a starting role to lead from the front when his team hosted the opponent at the Gazovik Stadium.

Putting in an impressive shift, the youngster netted his seventh goal of the season to ensure his team bagged the maximum points at the end of the pulsating contest.

On the matchday, Nikolai Prudnikov scored in the second minute of the first half to shoot Orenburg into the lead before Joel Fameye stepped up to dispatch a penalty in the 29th minute to double the lead for the hosts.

Later in the second half, Aleksey Mironov registered his name on the scoresheet to seal a delightful win for his team while condemning Torpedo Moscow to a defeat on the road.

Courtesy of today’s goal, Ghanaian international Joel Fameyeh now has seven goals after making 23 appearances for Orenburg this season.
