Manager of Arsenal, Mikel Arteta says the club is delighted to add Thomas Partey to its squad for the ongoing football season.

Following months of speculations, the English Premier League club has finally secured the signing of the Ghana international from Atletico Madrid.

Speaking on the signing of the highly-rated midfielder, Mikel Arteta says Arsenal wants to continue its strong start to the new season with the quality of Thomas Partey.

“With his all-round game and positive aggressive style, he will be a brilliant addition to our squad. We’ve made a strong start to the season and we want to continue to build on this with Thomas now part of our club”, the Gunners manager told Arsenal media after the transfer was confirmed.

Arteta continued, “We have been watching Thomas for a while, so we’re now delighted to add such a high quality player to our squad. He is a dynamic midfielder with great energy. He brings a lot of experience from a top club that has competed at the highest level in La Liga and the Champions League for several years”.

Arsenal has been able to sign Thomas Partey as a result of the payment of his buyout clause of 50 million euros to La Liga. He is signing a 4-year contract with the Premier League side and joins with a lot of expectations.
