Ghana senior national team head coach, C.K Akonnor has noted that his team will do its best to defeat Mali when the two countries meet next month for a friendly game.
The two West African countries are set to return to action in the qualifiers to the next edition of the Africa Cup of Nations tournament in November.
In a bid to prepare for the games, Ghana and Mali have agreed to feature in an international friendly match in October to give managers the chance to assess their players.
Speaking on the upcoming friendly game, Black Stars head coach C.K Akonnor says he has set his sight on seeing his team do well and emerge victories at the end of the day.
“Mali is a strong side, we have seen a couple of matches that they played in the AFCON, a very strong force and it is a very good test for us. We want to go there and try as much as possible to do our best and of course win that match”, the coach said in an interview as quoted on the website of the Ghana FA.
The friendly match will be played in Antalya, Turkey on October 9, 2020.
