Coach John Paintsil, Sporting Director of Ghana Premiership side, Legon Cities F/C, believes that football is all about talent and not juju, as speculated by a section of society.

The former Berekum Arsenal and Black Stars defender told Sunyani-based Suncity Radio in an interview that, self-discipline, serious training and collective discipline on and off the pitch will always produce good results.

"Why would you compromise your God-given talent for juju to aid your performance and results, instead of taking your training serious and abiding by the rules and regulations of the game," he quizzes.

Paintsil called on the leadership of the FA to revisit the old system of grooming players by keeping them together for longer periods, to ensure consistency, telepathy and winsome performances.

"When players like Michael Essien, Sule Muntari, myself and others were camped at the Winneba Sports College between 1996--1999, we all saw the results that the Black Stars gave Ghanaians, and urged the FA to replicate that system now, to place the nation back on top of continental and international soccer," he stated.
