Midfield maestro Kwasi Donsu has indicated that he hopes to hit top form in the upcoming football season in order to lead Medeama SC to glory in the Ghana Premier League.
The Tarkwa-based club has in the last decade been a force to reckon with. Currently touted as one of the Ghanaian heavyweights, the club has won the FA Cup title on 2 occasions but never managed to lift the Ghana Premier League.
Speaking to Bryt FM following the confirmation that the 2020/2021 football season will start in October, Kwasi Donsu has shared that he wants to help Medeama SC win the league and merit qualification to the CAF Champions League.
“Medeama has won the FA Cup twice but we’ve not won the top-flight league. So I have targeted winning the league title this time around to help my club qualify to Africa”, the midfielder said.
Kwasi Donsu added, “Personally, I want to pick my form again so that I can get a call-up into the national team. I know if I’m able to do well I will be invited into the Black Stars because that has been my target”.
The Ghana Football Association (GFA) and the various clubs are expected to meet soon to discuss a convenient date for the start of the new season.
