Ashanti Gold SC defender, Richard Osei Agyemang has stressed that he is confident the club will reach the group stage of the 2020/2021 edition of the CAF Confederations Cup.
Nicknamed the Miners, the club has been given the nod to represent Ghana in the CAF inter-club competitions on the back of the cancelation of the football season as a result of the Coronavirus pandemic.
Though the club has lost some key players, defender Richard Osei Agyemang remains optimistic about the chances of the club to make it to the group stage of the competition.
“I have the confidence that Ashanti Gold SC will reach the group stage of the CAF Confederations Cup this year”, the highly-rated defender said in an interview with Pure FM.
According to him, playing in the competition last year has given the team experience which will come in handy in the upcoming season.
“Last year's participation has given us a lot of experience and we are hoping to go far this time”, Osei Agyemang noted.
