Ghana striker, Kwasi Okyere Wriedt scored to inspire Willem II Tilburg to a 2-1 win against VVV-Venlo on Friday evening while marking his debut for his new club.

The highly-rated attacker in July sealed a transfer to the Dutch Eredivisie club on a 3-year contract in a deal that saw him move from German Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich.

Today at the Willem II Stadion, Kwasi Okyere Wriedt has marked his debut for his new club.

In a match in the ongoing Eredivisie Comeback tournament, the forward missed out on a starting role but was introduced at the break.

The lethal striker only needed 10 minutes to announce his presence with his first goal for Willem II coming on the 55th minute after he was assisted by Wesley Spieringhs.

That goal canceled out a 10th-minute strike from Evert Linthorst which had shot VVV-Venlo into the lead in the first half of the game.

The home team built on Kwasi’s goal and managed to score again on the 62nd-minute courtesy a strike from Mike Ndayishimiye to cruise to a 2-1 victory on the day.
