Marcel Desailly believes Ghana defender, Baba Rahman can break into the first team of Chelsea.
Having joined the English Premier League outfit in 2015 from German Bundesliga side Augsburg, the left-back struggled to make a case for a place in the Blues first team as he is continually sent out on loan.
Marcel Desailly, a Chelsea legend, however, urged the Rahman to continue working hard and not give up.
According to the 1998 World Cup winner with France, the former Dreams FC defender has what it takes to play as the first-choice left-back for Frank Lampard’s team.
“Baba Rahman should not give up. I think he has the level of being Chelsea’s first-choice left-back," Desailly told Footballmadeinghana.com.
"He should try more, he went out on loan to the Spanish League this season so he should come back with a better mindset to be able to perform.
“The Premier League is very difficult because of the speed of the game so it’s not easy but he has to cope with it,” he said.
This season, Baba Rahman is playing for RCD Mallorca but injuries has denied him the opportunity of playing in as many matches that he would have wanted.
