Board Member of Asante Kotoko, Nana Kwame Aboagye has hinted that the new board have targeted upgrading the Adako Jachie training facility.

Life Patron of the club, Otumfou Osei Tutu II has put together a new nine-member board to run affairs of the club on Thursday.

The board will run on a daily basis and it has been tasked with bringing progress to ensure that it becomes a continental powerhouse.

Nana Kwame Aboagye, who is the special aide to the Manhyia Palace Chief of Staff, in an interview with Accra based Happy FM revealed that there were plans to heavily invest in world-class facilities at the team’s Adako Jachie ground.

“We want Kotoko to look like a professional club and so, we are planning to invest at Adako Jachie," he said.

"We want to follow the best practices done by the world’s big teams like Manchester City, Real Madrid and others.

"So we intend to start from a point,” he added.

The new Kotoko board is headed by the team’s Executive Chairman, Kwame Kyei and he has support from 8 other people who are on the board.

The other people on the board are Kwadwo Boateng Gyamfi, Kwasi Osei Ofori, Alhaji Lamine, Kwamena Mensah, Joseph Yaw Addo, Evelyn Nsiah Asare and Baffour Kwame Kusi.

The setting up of the board also meets a requirement stated in the GFA’s club licensing rules and regulations.
