Ghana international, Edwin Gyasi believes the country need luck to win the Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon).

The West African country have close to win the ultimate in 1992, 2010 and 2015 after winning the tournament in 1982.

With new Ghana coach, CK Akonnor tasked to end the country’s 38-year-old trophy drought, Gyasi believes Ghana need luck to be crowned African champions.

“I think we will luck to win the Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon),” he told Samuel Ekow Amoasi Appiah in an interview.

“We will have to prepare well and play according to instructions and that will definitely help.

“If you look at how the Germans play, the play and make sure they don’t concede. We should not repeat our previous mistakes going forward,” he added.

Gyasi has already said he is ready to work under new coach, CK Akonnor
