Owner of Division One League Club Tema Youth, Wilfred Osei Kwaku Palmer has applauded the Ghana Football Association (GFA) for offering the Ghanaman Soccer Center of Excellence to the government for use as an isolation center for persons infected with the Coronavirus (Covid-19) disease.

The country’s football governing body in April confirmed that it has taken the decision to hand over the center at Prampram to the government as their way of helping in the fight against the Covid-19 crisis.

Speaking in a discussion on Happy FM on the theme, the ‘Effects of COVID-19 on Football Clubs in Ghana’, Wilfred Osei Kwaku Palmer has given the GFA thumbs up for that move.

“It was a very good move by the GFA to give out the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence to the government to be used as the isolation center.

“It’s also a way of their corporate social responsibility to the society”, the experienced football administrator said.

Ghana’s number of confirmed cases of the Coronavirus currently stands at 6,269 with 1,898 recoveries and a death toll of 31.
