MTN Ghana has awarded its second batch of winners in the ongoing Momo at 10 promotion with 24-year old Salomey Armah driving home one of the remaining brand new Hyundai i10 cars after accumulating the most points at the end of the month of July.
The ongoing promotion is MTN’s way of saying thank you to its cherished customers who have been part of their 10 year’s journey since they introduced mobile money in the country.
To win any of the amazing prizes, a customer is expected to accumulate points during the month by carrying out transactions with MoMo. Transactions may include retail payments, transfers to wallets, data or voice airtime purchase and bill payments.
The top point earners for each month is then awarded at a presentation ceremony at the beginning of the next month.
At a colorful ceremony at Makola-Rawlings Park on Friday, August 9, 2019, a total of 16 customers were rewarded for doing more with their Momo account which saw them accruing more points at the end of the month of July.
Salomey Armah, a 24-year-old resident of Accra received one of four Hyundai i10 cars expected to be given out to winners for the past month, with the remaining customers taking home Samsung Television sets ranging from 43 to 65 inches as well cash prizes of either GH¢1,000, GH¢2,000 or GH¢3,000.
Mrs. Salomey Armah who appeared totally surprised expressed excitement and urged other customers to continue using the MTN Momo in order to accumulate more points to have a chance of winning any of the amazing prizes at the end of the promo.
Speaking to the media on the sidelines of the presentation, General Manager in charge of Financial Services at MTN, Mr. Elli Hini urged customers to continue using the Momo service to stand the chance of having their lives transformed.
“Today we are lucky to have one of the winners here so we made the presentation to that person and so we will continue to encourage our customers to use the service because, beyond the prices, it's a life-transforming service”, he said.
The promotion continues this month with the last set of cars – four Hyundai i10 and a Hyundai Santa Fe 2019 - set to be given out in September.
He further assured that the network providers will continue to have the interest of customers at heart and will do all they can to improve the use of the service. Nonetheless, Mr. Elli Hini cautioned users to stay vigilant to avoid been swindled by fraudsters.
