Accra, Jan. 18, GNA - An Armed Forces Base Hospital is to be established in Kumasi to cater for troops in the Northern Command of the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) and to take some of the pressure off the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital.

The Ministry of Defence (MOD) has acquired a site for the construction of the facility, Defence Minister, Dr Kwame Addo-Kufuor disclosed when he addressed the first in a series of meet-the-press for this year in Accra on Wednesday.

He said arrangements were being made for funding of the new project.
