IPR Releases Nominees For 7th National Communication  PR Awards

The Institute of Public Relations (IPR) Ghana has announced the date for the 7th National Communications and Public Relations Awards.

The Awards will be organized on Friday, February 1. Vodafone Ghana topped the entries with seven categories followed by Stanbic bank and Ogilvy with four each.

According the Secretary of the Institute, Henry Nii Dottey, APR, the event will take place at the La Palme Royal Beach Hotel and is open to all parties involved in PR and communications for government and non-governmental agencies and media owners. He noted the entries in the 7th edition were very competitive as many more businesses continue to show interest in the awards.

The chairperson of the adjudicating panel is renowned PR and communications expect and founder of the Africa University College of Communications, Kojo Yankah, FIPR who is also a fellow of the Intitute.

The special guest of honour will be Chairman of the Council of State Nana Otuo Siriboe II with Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, Minister for Information and Member of Parliament for Ofoase Ayerebi and a member of the Institute also as a special guest.

The event would also crown the PR personality of the year which is the highest award at the event. The awards is currently help by Paul Asare Ansah, former CEO of the Ghana Ports and Harbours Authority and the PR Discovery of the year is Shirley Tony-Kum of Vivo Energy.
