Index continues gradual push up

Accra, Oct. 19, GNA - The GSE-All Share Index, the benchmark measure, climbed by 0.39 points to close at 4,888.95 points from 4,888.56 points as the market attempts to shed off the bearish sentiments.

Change for the year-to-date now stands at -28.09 per cent. Traded volumes rose on the back of block sales in the shares of Produce Buying Company to close at 34.5 million shares. PBC alone accounted for 33.3 million of the shares sold. On the broader market British American Tobacco gained 10 cedis to close at 3,090 cedis and Guinness Ghana Brewery Limited went up by two cedis at 7,512 cedis.

Market capitalisation ended up at 92,177.71 billion cedis up marginally from 92,176.69 billion cedis.
