Accra, Aug. 31, GNA - Bosch Ghana, a subsidiary of the leading global supplier of technology and services, says it is targeting a turnover of 200 million Euros from its operations in Africa by 2020.

In Ghana, the goal is to achieve a turnover of about five million Euros while that for the West African sub-region is 35 million Euros.

Speaking at a day's dealers and end use conference in Accra, Mr Benjy Ofori, Regional Sales Director West /Central Africa, said the company would strengthen its market presence, provide local training to end users and retailers and create the necessary brand awareness.

The Bosch Group, which officially set up a country office, last year after over two decades of existence in the country via various distributors and agents, is renowned for its Leadership in Mobility Solutions, Industrial Technology, Consumer Goods Energy and Building Technology.

'Given Ghana's rapid economic growth, Bosch will especially focus on providing solutions and services to demand in the food processing as well as energy and infrastructure industries.

'We plan to work closely with local partners to ensure the best possible benefit to customers and, on a larger scale, to Ghana's economy and the society.'

He said the company is expanding in West Africa to ensure that its power tools and services are e made available to consumers.

'Bosch's new focus on Africa reflects the strategic importance the company places on Africa and its local workforce. Ghana has many talented, well-qualified people exactly the kind of people we need to help our business grow here,' he said.

Mr Ofori said the importance of Power tools in increasing efficiency in output and overall growth of businesses.

He indicated that, 'the major significance of the power tools dealership event, is to underline the commitment of Bosch Ghana at building and fostering sustainably business relationship with is customers and also build confidence of the brand in the market'.

'We seek to achieve this through strengthening Bosch's presence in the market, creating brand awareness, providing local training to users and retailers, offering affordable tools and extending our distribution coverage,' he said.

According to Mr Ofori, the Bosch Power Tools Division was customer-focused and epitomises great engineering progress and has as a result, recorded significant successes in the innovation of power tools, power tool accessories and measuring tools.

'In order to reinforce this customer-centric approach, Bosch in Ghana will be looking at reinforcing its brand visibility in hardware markets through new innovations such as the Bosch 'Power Box, Specialised outlets and also by extending distribution within key cities such as Accra, Kumasi and Takoradi,' he said.
