Accra, Jan. 21, GNA - The Food and Drugs Board on Friday said it was unlawful for sachet water companies to produce bottled water with their existing facilities.
A statement issued in Accra and signed by James Lartey, Acting Head of Communication Department, said the production of bottled water demanded appropriate equipment and technology.
It said the requisite product processing infrastructure and layout must be available to ensure the integrity, character and safety of the product adding that information on the product should also conform to Legislative Instrument (L.I.) 1541 on product labelling, Codex Labelling Rules and all requirement on bottled water.
