Half-Assini(WR), July 14, GNA - Mrs Matilda Amissah-Arthur, the Ghana's Second Lady, has donated medical equipment and eight Panda digital TV Sets to the Half-Assini Government Hospital in Western Region.
The TV sets and the medical items are in fulfillment of request from the hospital to furnish a ward under construction by the District Assembly.
Mr Thomas Elleamo Yankey, the Jomoro Constituency NDC Parliamentary Candidate, made the presentation on behalf Second Lady.
Dr Jonathan Mensah, the Medical Superintendent of the Hospital, who received the items expressed gratitude to the Second lady for the gesture.
He said the items had come at opportune time for the patients.
It will be recalled that, Mrs Amissah-Arthur, in June this year presented assorted medical items including four (4) trousers and overcoats, three (3) thermometers, crutches, three (3) adjustable drip stands, stethoscopes and walker insulin, syringes and chairs to the facility to furnish the ward.
