Chief Nabila Fight Asantehene To Claim His Land

Chief Nabila Ibrahim lagge, the son of the late chief of Saliki zongo Ahmed Nabila ll in the Kumasi metropolist has strike a legal battle against his majesty Otumfuo Osei Tutu to claim plots of land at Ashanti west road - zongo belonging to him.

According to him, the acres of land located at roman hill in Kumasi is an inheritance that belongs to his late father given by Otumfuo Osei Tutu l in 1870's .

He stated that, the then Asantehene Prempeh ll and his late father in the last decades went into agreement and rented out that plot to Ahmadu Baba for palace and mosque.

The disputed land is currently occupied by some residents and other religious bodies including the mosque and catholic church at the area.

He said the former chairman for west road - zongo kumasi Ahmadu Baba was appointed by the late chief Ahmed Nabila l, to take care of portion of the land, which he is now claiming ownership of those land.

He reveals that, possessed land documents available to him clearly confirms his ownership of the lands.

He said, he has taken all the necessary steps to claim his land through the royal palace but to no avail.

Chief Nabila has trathen to seek a legal, action against the kingdom to take back what belongs to him his inheritance.
