Ghanaian companies show interest in Czech Trade Show

Accra, Oct. 19, GNA - About 60 Ghanaian companies have registered to participate in the first Ghanaian Trade Show in the Czech Republic. The fair, originally scheduled for October 26-29 this year, has been rescheduled for December 13-16 at Pavilion C of the International Exhibition Centre in Brno.

The General Manager of Obal Exposition Management, Mr. Stephen Kwakye Agyei, co-organisers of the fair, told the Ghana News Agency on Tuesday that the fair would give Ghanaian manufacturers the opportunity to market their products and break into the Eastern European market. The four-day fair will be on the theme: "Taking Advantage of the Expanded European Union".

The Ghanaian exhibitors would display fresh farm products, cocoa and cocoa products, mineral and cane products, textile and garments. The Ministries of Trade and Industry and President's Special Initiatives, Foreign Affairs the Private Sector Development are organising the fair in collaboration with the Ghana Export Promotion Centre and Ghana Investment Promotion Centre.

Mr. Alan Kyerematen, Minister of Trade and Industry and President's Special Initiatives is expected to open the fair.

Mr. Kwakye called on Ghanaian entrepreneurs to take advantage of the fair to establish trade links with the Eastern European bloc.
