Glencar Mining today said the recent phase of drilling at its Asheba concession in southwestern Ghana has encountered significant thicknesses of high-grade gold mineralisation at Atinasi North.
At the Atinasi North prospect, ore grade mineralisation has been confirmed over significant widths, the Dublin listed company said in a statement today. However, it said a considerable amount of geological and structural interpretation remains to be done to determine the commercial potential of this prospect.
Drilling at Tanaya, 3km to the northeast of Atinasi North, did not encounter any significant, additional ore grade mineralisation and as a result ongoing work in the coming months will be concentrated in the Atinasi area.
