In the state of Washington D.C. of United States of America U.S.A. August 6, 2014, the news was that scores of angry Ghanaians hit the streets to demonstrate against President John Dramani Mahama and his government.

According to “The Announcer Newspaper”, the frustrated Ghanaians protested against the mismanagement of the country's economy by the ruling National Democratic Congress NDC government.

However, in the Greater Toronto Area [GTA] in Ontario Province of Canada last weekend, the story was different as Ghanaian institutions and associations held various events such as barbecue for its members, families, friends and loved ones to celebrate the last long weekend holiday of the summer in the year 2014.

Though no parades were held, Ghanaians resident in the GTA, don their sport wears, short sleeves attire, knickers and African footwear's to match and headed to the picnic parks for the fun.

From spot to spot, one could feel the sweet sounds of music composed by Ghanaian musicians that made members to exhibit their excellent dancing skills by moving their feet to the beats.

At the Mississauga Village as it was learnt, it was all joy when the members of the Ewe Association of Canada, Toronto Chapter met there to also have fun. The beating of drums and dancing of Agbadza was in fact a good exercise for the Togbuio and Mamaoo who graced the occasion.
