Simply Mind-Blowing!: 27 Students Pregnant At Kpassa Senior High School

Reports emanating from Kpassa Senior High School in the Nkwanta North Dirstrict of the Volta Region, onto the editorial desk of ModernGhana indicate that about 27 female students within the school are presently pregnant and schooling at the same time.

Investigations conducted by ModernGhana also showed that 8 of the students are in the Agric Form-4 class while the rest are from other departments.

Further checks conducted by ModernGhana revealed that majority of these 27 students are final year students who were alleged to have been impregnated by some masters and teachers of the school.

The situation, ModernGhana learnt, is creating uneasy calm in the school since some parents of these students occasionally storm the school to fight some of the teachers who are alleged to be involved in this grand sexual scheme.

Speaking to ModernGhana, the Senior House Master of Kpassa Senior High School, Mr. Johnson Tawiah, confirmed the story to be true but refused to comment further when ModernGhana attempted to delve deep into the issues.

“It is true that about 27 teenagers are pregnant in the school but I am not in any position to go deep into this; just patiently wait for the Headmaster to come back and then you can come and talk to him,” Mr. Johnson Tawiah told ModernGhana.

At the time of our visit to the school, ModernGhana was told the Headmaster was out of town on an official educational assignment under the auspices of the district Ghana Education Service (GES) Directorate while the Assistant Headmaster, whose name was only given as Mr. Baba. Had gone AWOL from the school.

ModernGhana further observed that the school is in dire need of massive renovation since about 7 classrooms were spotted under trees.
