Fiaso (B/A), Nov 14, GNA - Mrs Margaret Aboligu, the acting Techiman District Director of Ghana Health Service, has urged town development and unit committees to join in efforts to provide the health needs of the people.

She appealed to members of the two bodies to collaborate with the Ministry of Health to promote primary health care in rural communities. The acting director was speaking at the launch of Life Choice, a component of the Family Planning programme.

The Techiman District directorate of Ghana Health Service organized the launch in collaboration with the District Assembly.

The programme was aimed at assisting the people to improve their reproductive health through information and counselling on contraception and other health reproductive health services.

Mr Daniel Djan, Techiman District Disease Control Officer of Ghana Health Service, advised the people to seek advice from health providers on family planning methods so that they could make informed choices to improve their lives.
