Tamale, July 27, GNA – A political youth group calling itself “Coalition of NDC youth groups in Northern Region” has expressed regret over the death of President John Evans Atta Mills.
A statement issued in Tamale on Friday and copied to the GNA said, “We wish to express our condolence to the family of our late President John Evans Atta Mills, the NDC and the people of Ghana for the loss of a great leader”.
The statement, signed by Mr Salifu Alhassan, Secretary to the Coalition, said the President's death should be used as means of reuniting the nation to foster peace and development.
The Coalition congratulated President John Mahama for ascending the high office of President and appealed to him to emulate his predecessor, who loved peace and development.
The statement said it would support President Mahama to accomplish the “Better Ghana Agenda” and to lead the party to victory in the 2012 election.
