MALLAM – YAMORANSA ROAD Investigation conducted by the paper have revealed that indecision over the selection of a contractor to undertake the reconstruction of the Mallam-Yamoransa road is delaying the project whilst the rate of accidents on the road soar.
Unimpeachable sources close to the Ministry of Roads and Transport and the Ghana Highway Authority (GHA) told the paper that “our offices are almost everyday flooded with agents of contractors who come in to undo and scatter our bidding and selection procedures.”
“Some of the agents are so powerful and close to very powerful people in government that they always confuse us and thereby draw us back. This is what is delaying the start of work on the reconstruction.”
