Preamble: If the lion runs and looks back, it does not mean that it is afraid. It wants to know the distance it has covered. The fact that the lion is the king of the jungle does not mean that it cannot be brought down by the hunter's gun. A grass shopper does not walk into a gathering of hens and expects to get away with its life. It is also a known fact that it is only an impotent or castrated man whose wife finds pleasure in another woman's husband. But the question remains: Can a butterfly call itself a bird? This write up is a fitting response to the misconception, absurdity and illogical reasoning being peddled by some misguided elements in our midst under a so-called Media Analyst Group led by a dubious, cantankerous and discredited Peter Quarshie. This unsung group has been given official backing by the Communication Directorate at the Presidency headed by Koku Anyidohu. The group, perhaps basking in the unnecessary euphoria which greeted its call for the Police to invite three top notchers of the New Patriotic Party, hereby referred to as Nipa Pa Party, to clarify certain statements they were alleged to have made on the Atiwa Bye Election thought it could stretch its tentacles further by dragging the name of Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, Presidential Candidate of the Nipa Pa Party into the mud. The group has so far had a field day as it is urged on by cheerleaders who happen to be top members of Baba Go Slow, alias Professor Do Little's administration. The illogical theatre of absurdities is reminiscent of Goebbels Hitlerite Germany, Comrade Uche Chukwumerije of Ojukwu's Biafra and Tareez Aziz of Saddam Hussein's Iraq. Suddenly, these Achans in our midst have forgotten that those who live in Glass Houses should not throw stones. Suddenly, they have forgotten the Greatest Cardinal Principle in life – Love thy neighbor as thyself. Instead of calling these snakes, sharks, scavengers, wolves, rabid dogs, hawks and vultures in their midst to order, the powers that be, because they come from a tradition of violence and having no respect(for elders are urging on these bunch of disrespectful delinquents to thread the paths of the Nebuchadnezzar's, the Hammurabis, the Dracos, the Neros, the Mussolinis, the Hitlers, the Stalins, the Iddi Amins, the Saddam Hussein's, the Osama Bin Ladens and the modern day Paul Krugers to distort fact and figures by alleging that things which never happened in our time did actually happen. Perhaps, blinded by selfish and parochial motives, these latter day saints are playing a dangerous game which they are bound to lose. It behooves on decent people in the society to set the record as straight and tell the truth as they really are. I prefer not be part of the latter day saints who can aptly be described as 'troublers of Israel'. The battle line has only just begun and without wasting time, here we go. The crux of the matter: The Media Analyst Group alleges that since Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo's daughter was alleged to have been drunk at the time her vehicle was involved in an accident, it means the Presidential flag-bearer of the Nipa Pa Party could not control his household and is therefore not fit to be President. They used quotations from the Holy Bible to support their contention. With the permission of my enlightened readers, let me also use the same Holy Bible to debunk their erroneous, misleading and illogical reasoning or thinking. The abominable acts committed by Hopni and Phenehas: When Eli's children committed abomination before the Lord, the children were punished. God did not immediately strip Eli of the priesthood. He was allowed to serve his priesthood till the end of his term. We also learn that Samuel who replaced Eli as Priest had children whose character traits were quite at variance with their father. The result was that Israel asked God for a King. Did God strip Samuel off the priesthood? No, he was made to serve his term to the end of his life. The father was not punished on account of the misdeeds of his children. It is there in the Bible for all who care to read and understand. Wherein lies the crux of their argument? Sampson's marriage to the Philistine woman: In the same Holy Bible, we read that when Samson wanted to marry the woman from Timnathi, his parents were strongly opposed to it but he still went ahead and married her. Saul's son, Jonathan disagreed vehemently with his father's wicked agenda against David and even leaked his secret plans to his friend David. The two friends entered into an oath, much to the consternation of King Saul. David was a successful ruler, valiant in battle and the man after God's own heart, yet his son, Absalom rebelled against him. David served God with all his heart, but Solomon, his son and successor turned after other gods. When Cain killed his brother Abel, did it signify the fact that Adam, their father could not put his house in order? What about Jacob's deceit in presenting himself as Esau, his brother, so that he could receive the blessings from his father? There are copious examples in the Bible to illustrate how children took up different positions and traits quite at variance from their fathers. Jesus got missing for three days in Jerusalem: Luke, Chapter Two gives an interesting account of what happened when Jesus and his parents went to Jerusalem to celebrate the Passover. The Apostle Luke tells us that Jesus was twelve years old. When they embarked on their return journey, Jesus stayed behind in Jerusalem His parents thought he was with some of their relatives on the way. But when they did not find him, they retuned to Jerusalem and found him after a three day search. In our time today, we would have reprimanded him severely for being a deviant and an incorrigible child. Whom do we blame in this instance, his parents? No, for it was God's own spirit at work, So, you see the illogical inconsistencies in the use of the Bible by the Media Analyst to portray Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, Flag-bearer of the Nipa Pa Party as a man who could not control his household is neither here nor there. The above excerpts and quotations which are irrefutable aptly make our flag bearer the most potent force for the Presidency in the country today! Akufo-Addo's daughter: In her case, the most important question to ask is whether or not the daughter is of age. Her independence is never in doubt for she is thirty one years old and can take decision on her own. I would want the Media Analyst Group to answer this question: If Peter Quarshie's daughter comes of age (I doubt if he has ever fathered a child) will he force her to marry a man of his choice? If he cannot do that, how does he expect our Flag-bearer to do to his daughter if indeed she decides to chart a different course from his father's? Emeka Odumegwu Ojukwu and his father: Ojukwu, the ex-Biafran warlord had an unhappy relationship with his father during his youthful days. The father sent hmm abroad to study Law, but he ended up studying English. He wanted to enlist in the Nigerian Army as an officer but his father disapproved of it. The father impressed on the colonial administration not to accept him for the officer's course. Young and independent-minded Ojukwu, a graduate then enlisted as a recruit and that further severed the relationship between father and son. The battle line was drawn and father and son were no longer on speaking terms. This unhealthy relationship came to an end after many years when the colonial administration saw the 'unwisdom in keeping Ojukwu as a recruit. He joined the officer's corps and father and son became united once more. Reverend Sintim Misah and his Children: The Reverend Minister was the Moderator of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana. People at that time were shocked when his daughter went to study Theatre Arts at University of Ghana, cut that was what she wanted and the father did not put any impediments on her way. His son, Kwaku Sintim Misah, alias KSM decided to enter the entertainment industry and today his name has become a household name in the industry. Who say man no dey? Man dey kampe! Police Motive: I am yet to be convinced that Akufo Addo's daughter was indeed as drunk as the PHD's would like to portray her to the rest of the world. Can the Police tell us the volume of alcohol that was in her system at the time of the accident? If it was not for mischief, why should the Police leak the information that she was very drunk, if indeed it was true? Do we now have a new Police Force in the country today? How many accidents have occurred within the last couple of weeks and how many times have the Police told us of drunk drivers involved in the accidents? If indeed, the daughter was as drunk as the evil mongers would like to portray her, could the Police tell us the nature of injury she sustained and the level of wreckage to the car? Is the daughter indeed a drunkard? If indeed she is deviant and drunkard as evil mongers like Koku Anyidohu and Peter Quarshie would want the whole world to believe, can they tell us of any other incident of her drunk behaviour (apart from the one they alleged happened at the time of her accident)? From the way they are portraying her, she is indeed a drunk who cannot stay away from the bottle. She would have made history during the electioneering campaign preceding Election 2008. The Nefarious Destructive Cancer would have made an issue out of her drinking habit. The fact that we never heard anything about her love for the bottle reveals that she is not as deviant and drunk as these misguided and evil mongers would like to portray her to the rest of the world. Parental Guidance as opposed to Parental Control: Has it ever occurred to the likes of Koku Anyidohu and the Media Analyst Group that in the modern world, a parent could only give advice, not control? Have they forgotten that the Presidential Candidate of the Nipa Pa Party was initially an Nkrumaist? Did they not hear of the numerous arguments he had with his father in his youthful and student days? Yes, it is true and the records are there for all who care to know. The Saucy and abusive tongue of Koku Anyidohu and Peter Quarshie: Can these two and their cheerleaders tell Ghanaians that the saucy, impertinence, impudence, arrogance, disrespect and contempt they have for both the upper and lower classes in the country were inherited from their fathers? I know Koku Anyidoho's father to be a very fine professional soldier. The father lived above board while in the military and never exhibited these negative traits his son is parading at the corridors of power. Osagyefo Dr Nkrumah's children: Come to think of it. Our First President, Osagyefo Dr Kwame Nkrumah founded the Convention People's Party. The People National Party was the successor of the CPP. It was the Nefarious Destructive Cancer that overthrew the PNP, an Nkrumaist party. Yet, Sekou Nkrumah, son of Ghana's First President pitched tent with the NDC, whilst his sister, Samia Nkrumah joined the CPP. Will it be logical to conclude that Sekou did a great disservice to the memory of his father by allying himself with his father's enemies? Would it be logical to conclude that the late President did not give his son, Sekou Nkrumah good moral training and that was why his son joined forces with his father's enemies? Is the NDC and the Ghanaian Lens mocking Osagyefo Dr Nkrumah? Now, you listen to me, well and good. In the column “Taking it Easy with Uncle JB” in the Ghanaians Lens of Thursday, 14th June, 2007, the writer refers to Gamel Nkrumah as a disgrace to Nkrumah's family. “I am not surprised that Gamel is thinking the way he is thinking because if in his day and age, his hair can be as bushy as it is, then the guy has a problem. If only he would visit a barber and have a haircut. I am sure some air would blow through his thick brains for him to start reasoning like the son of Nkrumah ought to reason”. By the thinking and reasoning of the likes of Koku Anyidoho, Peter Quarshie and their cheerleaders, it presupposes that the late President, Osagyefo Dr Kwame Nkrumah did not bring up his children, particularly Gamel well. Enemies of progress! You've got to be ashamed of yourselves! Reason like matured and intelligent adults that you are and let your arguments follow a certain logical sequence. Let the sharks, the snakes, the scavengers, the wolves, the rabid dogs, the hawks and the vultures in the NDC put a halt to their nefarious activities and come up with lofty and laudable programes which will benefit the Ghanaian society in general.
