First National Savings and Loans Company (FNSL) has added another product to its existing innovations, known as the 'Sika plus'.

The 'Sika plus' is an instant Domestic Money Transfer Service, which is currently being operated in all the 30 FNSL branches nationwide.

It is a special service by which one person (Remitter) can transfer money to any part of the country through FNSL Branch network to a named beneficiary. It is a fast, simple and very convenient means of transferring money, as compared to conventional means of demand drafts, cheques or pay orders, according to officials of the Bank.

The hallmark of Sika plus is mainly due to the technological approach being used in the processing of the money transfer by managers of FNSL. It normally takes a maximum one hour, after receipt of funds for the system (networked branches) to transfer funds to the payee.

Thus 'Sika plus' is done online, with the company making sure that the transfer processes are done immediately a sender deposits the amount at any of the FNSL branches through the internet, in order for the receiver to get the transferred money instantly through another FNSL branch.

Officials of the company said, in a situation where a branch is not on the network, it should not take more than two hours to effect transfer. Transactions to be performed, according to the FNSL management, are extremely safe and secure, because customers are given special codes and that ensures the safety of the transferred money or the 'Sika plus'.

The system, according to the management of the company, ensures that the security features of the 'Sika plus' service are intact, because of its reliability. This is not limited to the company's customers only. Non customers can also use the facility.

'With branches all over the country, FNSL ensures that people, who want to transfer money from one branch of FNSL to another, are spared the hazard of going through long processes as it occurs elsewhere. Where others relay such vital processing information on transfers through telephone calls and other cumbersome processes, a 'Sika plus' customer is spared that ordeal when the transfer is being done by FNSL', noted Charles Otoo, Managing Director of FNSL.

A Sika plus sender will have to fill a form where he/she provides his name(s); address (residential); postal if any; the amount to be sent both in figures and words, and then determine the mode of payment.
