MTN rewards customers

Mobile Telecommunications Network Ghana (MTN), a leading market player in the telecommunication industry, is rewarding its loyal customers for making the network number one in the country.

As part of its appreciation towards its customers for their loyalty to the network, MTN has launched it's latest innovative promotion , “Text to Go 2010,” which is worth GH¢8 million, as a form of saying “thank you” to its loyal subscribers for all these years.

The newest innovation promotion by MTN is tagged with the upcoming South Africa 2010 FIFA World Cup, which is the greatest competitive football tournament in the world, and promises to exhibit pure excitement and greatness.

The promotion, which seeks to reward loyal subscribers of its network with cash prices, 10 brand new KIA Sorento 4x4 cars for each region, MTN loads airtime, and also other consolation prices, would be unrolled within the next 100 days every week.

On a daily basis, the promotion would be rewarding 195 subscribers with a total of GH¢3,000 in cash, ten mobile handsets of 3.5G, bringing it to a thousand handsets, and also ten MTN airtime vouchers worth GH¢100, estimated to be about one thousand vouchers.

Meanwhile, there is going to be an exclusive VIP package to the MTN sponsored 2010 World Cup, and also separate GH¢100,000 grand prize jackpots.

Speaking at the launch of the newest innovation, “Text Go to 2010”, at the Labone Coffe Shop in Accra, the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) of the company, Mr. George Andah, observed that the company was aware of the passionate love the people of Ghana attached to the game of football, hence the decision to give an opportunity to MTN subscribers to win one FIFA VIP package every week to watch live soccer in South Africa come next year.

Mr. Andah said, “It is as a result of this desire to connect with you, that we chose the theme 'Unity for the 2010 World Cup Global Football Feat,' to unite communities, football fans, workers and the world at large”.

The company promises to whip up support and enthusiasm among Ghanaians to support the Black Stars.

On the part of the Deputy Minister of Sports, Nii- Nortey Dua, he said the innovation by MTN to improve the sport industry in the country, especially football, was a welcoming one.
