Kasoa (C/R) July 23 GNA— The Kasoa District Police Command, has appealed to people in Kasoa and surrounding communities, to report patients who arrive at medical centres with gunshot wounds to the security agencies.

The Kasoa District Police Commander, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Jordan Quaye made the appeal in a press statement issued to the Ghana News Agency in Winneba on Thursday.

DSP Quaye said information reaching the command indicates that some wounded armed robbers are hiding in Kasoa receiving treatment.

He gave the assurance that the identity of informants would be kept secret and urged the public to be bold and report the robbers to the police.

He warned that any medical personnel who attend to an armed robber or refuse to divulge information on them would be arrested and charged for collaboration and complicity.

DSP Quaye said it was dangerous to deal with hardened criminals and appealed to those housing such people to hand them over to the police.

He said those who refuse to do so would be arrested and charged for harbouring criminals.
