The National Democratic Congress (NDC) National Communication Officer, Sammy Gyamfi, has called upon the residents of the Savannah Region to unite with the rest of the nation in an effort to bring back former President John Dramani Mahama to power.

Mr Gyamfi asserted that the people of Ghana were yearning for the leadership style of Mr Mahama.

Speaking at a media briefing on Sunday, March 10, 2024, in Damongo, following an NDC-organised forum to prepare party communicators for the upcoming 2024 elections, Mr Gyamfi highlighted the presence of a high-level NDC delegation in Damongo.

The delegation included Lawyer Joyce Bawa Mogtari, special aide to John Dramani Mahama; Former Deputy Communications Minister, Mr Felix Ofosu Kwakye; Former Deputy Energy Minister, Mr John Jinapor; Former Agriculture Minister, Alhaji Limuna Mohammed Muniru; MP for Salaga South, Hajia Zuwera Ibrahima; Former MP of Damongo Constituency, Adam Mutawakilu; and Deputy National Communications Officer, Mr Malick Basintale.

The purpose of the delegation's visit was to train and equip party communicators with the necessary information and skills for the upcoming electoral battle.

Emphasising the importance of the 2024 election, Mr Gyamfi declared it a must-win for the NDC, asserting that the party was leaving no stone unturned in the Savannah Region.

He revealed that the Savannah Regional executives had already initiated "Operation 7/7," aiming for victories in all seven constituencies through dedicated efforts leading up to the December polls.

Mr Gyamfi assured the media that communicators were ready for action, having benefited from the "Communicators Forum" programme, which enhanced their capacity by sharing crucial information for the challenges ahead.

On behalf of former President John Dramani Mahama, Mr Gyamfi presented a brand new pickup and a laptop to the Savannah Regional NDC Communications Bureau, aimed at facilitating effective grassroots communication.

These contributions were made on behalf of the forum's PRO.

Ending his address, Mr Gyamfi expressed the NDC's commitment to engaging with the media professionally for the overall development of the country.

Mr R.A. Jalil, the Communication Officer of the NDC in the Savannah Region, extended gratitude to the NDC leadership, especially former President John Dramani Mahama, for providing the necessary knowledge and logistics to bolster the communication bureau's operations in the region. Jalil assured that the donated resources would be utilized for their intended purposes.

Among the attendees at the forum were members of the Party's Regional Executives Committee, constituency communications officers, party communicators, and sympathisers.
