Former member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Hopeson Adorye has opined that the ruling party is destined for opposition at the end of the 2024 General Election.
Speaking to journalists in Accra, Mr. Adorye said President Akufo-Addo’s State of the Nation Address on Tuesday was a handing-over address.
According to him, Independent Presidential aspirant Alan Kyerematen will defeat Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia in the 2024 election to become Ghana’s next president.
“This is the last State of the Nation of the President. This is the State of the Nation Address that will take the NPP into opposition. It’s just a handing over State of the Nation Address. They can’t win the 2024 General Election. They cannot. They can move heaven and even but they won’t win. As for Bawumia, we will beat him. He will get 39% to take the NPP into opposition,” Hopeson Adorye.
The former NPP member is currently a key member of the Movement for Change formed by Alan Kyerematen.
The Movement has been busy in the Greater Accra Region in the past week as Alan Kyerematen engages market folks and business groups.
He promises a better alternative and has assured that when given the chance to lead the country as President, he will reform the tax structure and abolish nuisance taxes.
