Permit Koku Anyidoho To Join The NPP To Completely Carry Out The Party's Character Assassination

Feature Article Permit Koku Anyidoho To Join The NPP To Completely Carry Out The Party's Character Assassination
SUN, 14 JAN 2024 LISTEN

The suspension of Koku Anyidoho from his position as Deputy General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress has caused such psychological trauma to the former politician that he has been plotting for months to sabotage the party and lower the standing of the former leader of Ghana, John Mahama. I'm not sure if Mr. Anyidoho wants money or to rejoin the party; despite several attempts to damage Mahama's reputation that have been unsuccessful, he is unwilling to give up.

Following the demise of John Atta-Mills, the former president of Ghana, Koku Anyidoho, has been circulating on social media, claiming Mahama is to blame. Accusing someone of murder is illegal in every country unless they are proven guilty of the crime. This is precisely what Anyidoho has been doing, despite the president's brother's public declaration that "they should allow his late brother to sleep peacefully," which sadly did not deter Anyidoho from acting calmly.

Koku Anyidoho even went so far as to tamper with the former president's grave because everything he does is to the advantage of the corrupt and incompetent government of Akufo Addo. In any real country, he should have gone to prison for the crime he committed, but he issued an apology. As soon as I read the article "Family Run to Akufo-Addo To Demand Atta Mills’ Autopsy Report 11 Years After His Death,” I realized that Anyidoho is trying to undermine John Mahama once more.

God only knows if the former NDC politician has been paid to play his old games and destroy Mahama's chances of winning the 2024 elections, but the way he has been acting raises questions because everyone knows how the NPP has failed miserably and the party is facing dire circumstances. If Mahama needs to be investigated, why did Akufo Addo fail to do so when he became president in 2016 but wait after seven years when the NPP failed and the party going to the opposition before this request?

In addition to Koku Anyidoho, the NDC has suspended Allotey Jacobs, who has repeatedly attempted to damage the party's or Mahama's reputation as well. In my opinion, those on suspension ought to be fired from the party altogether since, before their suspension, no one knew what they were up to in secret against the NDC. Since Mahama is well-known for not responding to Anyidoho's charges, the latter transfers the blame to Mr. Johnson Asiedu Nketia, claiming that he is the worst person to work with.

Most Ghanaians are aware that Koku Anyidoho is acting with political motivation in an attempt to deny Mahama the presidency, but that is not going to happen. Akufo Addo is allegedly connected to the assassination of NPP politician J.B. Danquah-Edu, based on the confession of the incarcerated assassin. One of the reasons this specific murder case has gone cold is that it involves IGP George Dampare and Kennedy Agyapong, both of whom are major players in this case.

Furthermore, years have gone by since journalist Ahmed Hussein-Suale and J.B. Danquah-Edu were killed, and still, the assassins have not been apprehended. Therefore, if President Akufo Addo is a sincere investigator of crime and corruption, he would have long since located the individuals responsible and brought them to justice. The president is more concerned with how Atta-Mills' passing will impact Mahama and prevent him from becoming president. Unfortunately, the intelligent ones among Ghanaians are too wise at the moment to buy the president’s rubbish.

I shall respectfully ask Akufo Addo to discuss how his government lost GHC 60 billion to criminal activities with Ernest Addison, Mahamudu Bawumia, and Ken Ofori-Atta if he is interested in looking into crimes. More importantly, they ought to explain to Ghanaians where the nearly 900 million dollars that the World Bank gave Ghana have gone, as well as where a sizable portion of the COVID-19 monies that they pilfered have ended up. The people of Ghana want to know this.

I will politely ask the NDC management to keep demonstrating their maturity and intelligence by ignoring Koku Anyidoho. His intricate and deeper motivations for carrying out all these character assassinations could stem from a variety of factors, such as a lack of resources and empathy, envy, jealousy, and societal pressure from NPP officials to undermine the NDC to get advantages. Ultimately, I will be among the millions of Ghanaians who will witness his downfall.
