A senior cardiologist, Dr. Felix Yamoah who is contesting to become the chairman of the Germany branch of the NPP is tipped to win against his closest competitor, Mrs. Rebecca Aboagye Sarpong.
This is according to a poll conducted by a group of NPP academics in Germany calling itself Political Researchers of NPP Germany (PRONG) led by one, Jacob Sarfo, a PhD candidate at the University of Göttingen, Germany and Alhajj Suleman, also a PhD candidate at the University of Hohenheim, Germany.
According to the pollsters, they used a random sampling technique to sample over 60% of all delegates within the 23 chapters of the Germany branch of NPP.
The poll also projected Ruth Lindenberger to win the position of the branch youth organiser by a landslide against her closest rival, Oppong Oduko. If she wins, it would be the first time in the branch's history to become a youth organiser.
Others tipped for a win are Nana Benyin Enninful, Benson Brenya, and Mohammed Awwal for the positions of branch organiser, 1st vice chairman, and Nasara coordinator, respectively.
It would be recalled that the branch has been a centre of controversy in the past couple of weeks when a group of aspirants asked the EC of the branch to reopen the voters' register without any restrictions contrary to the branch's rules and regulations.
This move was met with stiff opposition by a group calling themselves Concerned Members of NPP Germany led by Alhajj Suleman.
The National Chairman, Mr Freddie Blay was accused of being one-sided in favour of Mrs. Rebecca Aboagye Sarpong.
Below is the forecast of the polls to be held on Saturday 28th May 2022, as put out by PRONG.
